Gronk Was In The Hospital Today For Knee Injections

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski spent part of Thursday in a Boston hospital getting treatment on his injured right knee which included an injection, according to a source familiar with the procedure. The Patriots believe Gronkowski will play in Saturday’s divisional-round playoff game against the visiting Kansas City Chiefs, but will ultimately need to see how Gronkowski feels on game day. The Patriots practiced early this afternoon inside Gillette Stadium. Before the practice, head coach Bill Belichick was asked about his level of concern regarding Gronkowski and said, “We’ll list the players after practice like we do every day.” Gronkowski practiced on Monday, was held out of the Patriots’ full-pads practice on Tuesday, and was listed as a limited participant on Wednesday.

NOOOOOOOO GOD! NO GOD NO! NO! NOOOOOOOOO!

Like all Pats fans, I’ve talked tough all season. It was the Kill Everyone Tour. Then when we lost a few games, it was who cares the playoffs are the real season. All we needed to do was get to the postseason with everyone healthy and all would fall into place. Well, guess what folks? Officially a bit nervous. This offense goes as Gronk goes. The last few weeks there’s been quite a push to say Edelman is the MVP but as great as he is, you’re a fool if you’d rather play with a 100% Edelman over a 100% Gronk. We know what a decoy Gronk does in the playoffs, and it doesn’t win Super Bowls. Hopefully this was just a standard cortisone shot, or something of the like, but the fact that he’s missed so much practice and got the shot in a hospital is not a comforting look.

PS – We’re doing KFC Radio at the moment and BigCat just asked if I’m mad at Belichick because he played everyone down the stretch. I am not. Because this had to have happened/been re-aggrivated Monday. First, he had a full practice Monday. Second, he was in Florida all weekend. Despite the party boy reputation Gronk has from when he was younger, he wants to win Super Bowls. You absolutely never see or hear anything about him partying in-season. If Gronk was hurt and needed treatment then he wouldn’t be chilling by the pool. He just wouldn’t be. Gronk wants to win football games more than he wants to take Instagrams with strangers at the pool in Florida. If his knee was even in question then he’d be doing the work he needed to get healthy. I’m sure of that.

PPS – Despite everything I just said, I’m still taking the Pats. Don’t get that twisted. Pats still own the AFC because the AFC stinks, this just makes the Super Bowl a bit scarier.
