Grading the Newest Sex Scandal Teacher

Texas – A former teacher at Northbrook High School has been accused of having sex with a teen who was a student at the school at the time and she now says the boy tried to extort money from her to stay quiet about their supposed relationship. Kahtanna Culp, 29… told the principal at the Spring Branch Independent School District campus about her relationship with the teen. She said she wanted to end it, but the boy did not want to and had threatened to go public with the information unless she paid him money, the documents state. The principal alerted authorities. When investigators interviewed the teen, who graduated in May, he told them he and Culp had sexual intercourse numerous times while he was a student and she was a teacher, the documents state. He also said he had lived at her apartment intermittently from the middle of April until the end of November. The teen also stated, according to the documents, that Culp gave him and his friends marijuana.

Is this the worst Sex Scandal Student of all time?  I can see a kid outing a teacher who boned him in order to brag to his friends about it.  I don’t agree with it, it’s killing the goose that laid the golden egg, but I can understand the motivation.  If a Sex Scandal Teacher does you in the woods and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound? and all that.  But this?  This kid just wanted money?  Where’s the altruism?  Looking out for the greater good?  Where’s keeping Kahtanna’s SST career going for the next kid?  I mean, you’re not going to be in high school forever.  Let the classes of 2104 and ’15 have their moment in the sun too.  Like Spock said in Wrath of Kahn, “The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.” And he throws it all away, not for fame or glory, but for money.  This was just greed at its very worst.  Kids like this don’t deserve the honor and privilege of sex with a teacher.

The Grades:
Looks:  Ooh.  Kahtanna is just a near miss.  A couple of strands of her DNA rearranged and she’d be one of the really good ones.  Instead, she’s the mom on your kids T-ball team you might flirt with just to kill the boredom, but would never put in the time or effort to ever really bang. Grade: C+
Moral Compass/Bad Judgment: We’ve got the all important admission.  And as far as bad judgment goes, it doesn’t get any worse than picking on the one kid in the school for whom sex, shacking up at his teacher’s house and pot parties for him and all his buddies wasn’t enough. Grade: A
Intangibles: Kahtanna Gulp?  I got nothing.  Grade: D
