Grading the Newest Sex Scandal Teacher

Georgia - A Georgia high school teacher was arrested Tuesday after being accused of having sex with seven students, one of whom was 15. The Charlton County district attorney charged DaNita Wilson, 32, with seven counts of sexual assault, and more charges may still be pending… Six of the victims are over the age of 16, the legal age of consent in Georgia, while the seventh was 15 years old, [agent Stacy] Carson said… “Some of the (relationships) had been going on for at least one year or longer,” Carson said.

This is one of those stories that makes it so hard to be a Sex Scandal Teacher grader.  I want to give DaNita every break I can.  I love her heart.  Love the effort.  She is all grit and balls.  Mostly balls.  But dammitall, she just doesn’t have the natural talent.  She could spent all her time in the weight room and studying film and just be a total gym rat, but she’s going to lose out to some chick gifted with looks for whom it just comes easy.  Seven kids, maybe more?  There’s nothing not to admire about that.  But like I always say, you can’t teach looks.  I just wish I could put your heart into some of these other teachers’ bodies, Rudy.

The Grades:
Looks:  Comb DaNita’s hair back and give her a thick, lustrous mustache and she’s Ron Swanson. Grade: D+
Moral Compass/Bad Judgment: This is one of those cases where I’m not deducting points for the lack of evidence like nude texts or porn videos.  In Miss Wilson’s case, she’s doing us a favor by NOT having them.  7 kids, maybe more, is good enough on my end to give her a Grade: A
Intangibles:  I bet the Charlton County school district is happy to get rid of her because when they hired a “DeNita Wilson” they had to assume she’d count as an Affirmative Action hire.  Grade: B
Overall:  C. All guts, no glory.
