Former Speaker John Boehner Calls Ted Cruz "A Miserable Son Of A Bitch"

Business Insider — “Lucifer in the flesh,” the former speaker said [Wednesday], according to The Stanford Daily, a student newspaper.

He continued: “I have Democrat friends and Republican friends. I get along with almost everyone, but I have never worked with a more miserable son of a bitch in my life.”

Boehner said he would vote for GOP presidential frontrunner Donald Trump in a general election. He said he had played golf with the Manhattan billionaire, whom Boehner considers a “texting” buddy. Boehner said, however, that he would not vote for Cruz if Cruz became the nominee.

Late last year, Boehner referred to Cruz as a “false prophet” and a “jackass.”

Tell us how you really feel, John.

Ted Cruz sucks. If you had doubts about this fact, or if you believed in a rebound following jolting allegations of 5 mistresses and a couple primary W’s, this week should solidify your instinctual belief that he sucks.

First, he colludes with Kasich against Trump. Then reneges. Next he gets smoked in the northeast, so he orchestrates the lamest Indiana pandering scene of all time, only to butcher it with a gaffed b-ball reference that has even CNN’s stiffest anchors chuckling. Then he picks a VP despite having virtually no shot of being the nominee, and finally former House Speaker John Boehner says he’s the worst person to work with out of hundreds of people that are considered the worst people to work with in America.

A week Lyin’ Ted truly deserves.

Boehner is a controversial figure, no doubt. He got run over during his 5 years as House Speaker, both by Democrats and his own Republicans. And he’s blamed for government shutdowns and the least productive Congressional session in history, which outdid the infamous “Do Nothing Congress” of the 1940s.

But at the end of the day, when deciding how to feel about you calling someone really bad things, I place a lot of value on what type of person you are deep down. Greatest Speaker? No. But John seems like a simple guy that likes to golf, have a few scotches, tell it how it is, get along with people and cry about stuff. I respect that and, based on his 25-year run in Congress (9 as the Republican Leader in the House), so do many others.

If he calls Cruz a “false prophet,” a “jackass,” a “Lucifer in the flesh” and a “miserable son of a bitch,” I have no choice but to take him for his word and further intensify my dislike for L-Y-I-N …boom… HYPHEN Ted Cruz.

PS – With the Trump nomination virtually inevitable, eeeeeeeverybody seems to be coming around.

John Cornyn, February: …Senate Majority Whip John Cornyn bluntly said that a Donald Trump nomination could be an “albatross” to his Republican Party.

John Cornyn, Wednesday: “I think he could change the electoral map in ways we haven’t seen before.”

Rep. Mark Sanford of South Carolina (a Cruz supporter): “Many of us who have expressed concerns are reconciling ourselves to the fact that in all likelihood [Trump] will be the eventual nominee.”

This last one’s not necessarily “coming around,” but it’s hilarious:

With Trump as their likely nominee, Rep. Thomas Massie, a libertarian Kentucky Republican, said many Republicans will need “counseling.”

“These folks should start enrolling today,” Massie said.

Counseling or no counseling, the conclusions are the same: DT = GOP nominee.
