Fenway Doing A Screening Of Fever Pitch And Charging $10 Is So Perfectly Red Sox

This might be the most Red Sox move in history. Just a money grab with a piece of shit product and hoping that “Red Sox Nation” will show up to “Friendly Fenway” just because it’s Fenway. I mean if they wanted to open the doors, let people in for free and make a couple schillings off concessions then I’d probably be ok with it, or at least I wouldn’t blog about it. But charging 10 dollars to see a goddamn movie that came out 10 years ago is downright criminal. Never mind that the movie itself is an incredible piece of shit.

But this is who is in charge of the Red Sox. All they care about is this nonsense, it’s why those two assholes in that picture were ON THE FIELD when the Sox finally won in ’04 (that’s something I often forget about. But when I remember it, it makes my blood boil. An historic World Series win for the first time in 86 years and our fucking owners arrange for Jimmy Fallon to be running around with Pedro. Talk about spoiling a moment). How about just doing something for free and say hey thanks for putting up with a disaster season, fans. Here’s something nice (although not really because it’s Fever Pitch) for you. Stop grabbing your fans by their ankles and shaking every penny out of their pocket and reward them for being faithful all year. Most expensive ticket, most expensive beer, yet one of the worst products in MLB. Yet we still pack the stands every night. So you try and squeeze out a few more bucks on a road trip? Fuck those people in charge over there, man. Fuck them.

Editors Note – Do I owe the One Eyed Bandit an apology?  I mean I used to just assume he was behind every single move like this with the Red Sox.  But since he announced that he has been forced out, 3 of the most egregious moves in recent memory have all happened in rapid succession.    First Ben Cherrington was fired in the middle of the Jimmy Fund Telethon.  Then Don Orsillo was basically fired mid season and now this.   Actually charging people money to watch the worst Red Sox movie ever made at Fenway.    Could I have been wrong about who was really pulling the strings the entire time?   Could it have been this guy?

PS – Only the Red Sox would charge kids 12 and under 5 bucks and act like it was a deal.   How about you sign a god damn pitcher instead of charging infants a cover charge.
