Fake Twitter Account Embarrasses Nancy Pelosi and The New York Times

Nancy Pelosi Holds Weekly News Conference At The Capitol

On Monday evening, national security adviser Michael Flynn resigned amid reports that he’d misled the Vice President and other top White House officials on his communications with Russia. The media and Democrats pounced on this to paint the Trump administration as unqualified to lead.

The following are tweets from a completely fake Michael Flynn account…

Here’s Nancy Pelosi citing these fake tweets to imply there’s a deep conspiracy within the White House…

Thank you to Nancy for that impressive description of scapegoat.

The New York Times also cited the fake account in an article on the resignation before issuing a correction…

Elijah Cummings, a Maryland Representative, also cited the fake tweets…

The fake account itself, in Trumpian form, chirped all fooled parties…

Just a friendly reminder that it’s easy to shit on Trump, but there are irresponsible parties from both sides so hungry to launch attacks that they’ll use anything to do so. Flynn’s actions definitely need to be investigated further, and we need to figure out how many strings Russia’s been pulling, but citing flat out fake twitter accounts in press conferences as high-ranking officials or in published articles as the New York Times is embarrassing.

We’re just a band of idiots here at Barstool but even when we do that we get “HA J’MAC’ed!!” chirps for a month straight.
