Does This Look Like The Face Of A Dolphins Fan Who Beat His Best Friend Who Is A Jets Fan With A PVC Pipe Because He Said The Dolphins Lose All The Time?
TC Palm – What may have started as trash talk between a Miami Dolphins fan and a New York Jets fan ended with trips to the hospital and jail, according to a recently released arrest affidavit. Joshua Grayson, 22, told Port St. Lucie police the Aug. 30 early morning incidents kicked off as he hung out with another person watching football in Port St. Lucie. Grayson said he’s a “big football fan” and that the Dolphins are his team. He said the other man, identified as the victim, is a Jets supporter. They started arguing about how each team was better, and the victim poked him in the forehead. Grayson said the victim made fun of the Dolphins, saying they “lose all the time.” Grayson said when he went to push the victim back, the victim punched him in the eye. Grayson said he hit the victim about 15 times in the face and threw him head first on the concrete driveway. At one point the victim partially fell face first in a recycling bin of glass bottles, which shattered.
Grayson said the victim then rode away on a bicycle.
Meanwhile, the victim said Grayson is his best friend. He said that about 2 a.m. Grayson started arguing with his girlfriend. The victim yelled at Grayson for fueding with his girlfriend, and the victim and Grayson hit each other. The victim said he left, and went to a friend’s home nearby. He said Grayson showed up about 4 a.m. with two other people. He said Grayson and another person approached with PVC pipes, and he was hit several times.
“Look, I have an anger problem and whooped his (buttocks) really bad,” Grayson is quoted as saying. “I use(d) to wrestle and I took it too far. I can’t believe I did all of this with a broken ankle. I’ve had a broken ankle for one day because I broke it while riding a dirt bike. I want to be honest with what happened and not lie. The entire pipe thing was probably made up so (the victim) wouldn’t go to jail, too … I just went crazy on him.”
As a rule of thumb if you’re a Jets fan and you make fun of any other team in the league for losing too many games you deserve to get beaten to death with a PVC pipe. No if’s ands or butts about it. Like forget about all the other details of this story. Who hit who first. Who got thrown into a recycling bin full of glass bottles. Whether they are best friends blah, blah, blah. It’s all semantics. If you’re a Jets fan you keep your mouth shut and eyes on the ground period.
