David Ortiz Surprises A Group Of Local Veterans With Tickets To The World Series Tonight

Pretty awesome video. Of course, it’s a commercial for Bank of America but Papi did an excellent job. I don’t know if it’s just his personality or if he’s a great actor or if he’s just being real,  but he always seems like he genuinely cares about stuff like this. He was the same way during the Marathon Bombing and him telling the little story about watching his kids play in the backyard reminded me of that. Some athletes do this stuff and you can tell they’re just going through the motions and that the front office is making them be there, but it seems like Papi relishes in the opportunity to bring a smile to the face of people he truly respects.

Oh and I can’t wait for Papi to be on the pre-game tonight because he’s going to be awesome.
