Cyclist Barely Makes It Under A Security Barrier Before It Closes, Just Kidding, He Crashes Right Into It And Gets His Head Stuck

Metro- You can’t knock him for being ambitious. Watch this cyclist attempt to speed past a closing barrier – but fail when it slams on his head. The CCTV footage shows the barrier opening for a car, then a man on a bike riding behind it. He crashes into the gate – some how getting his head jammed in it. It swings him round before he comes to rest on the ground with wounded pride. He gets up and walks away seemingly unharmed.

Simple solution here.  Don’t ride your bike to work/to the bar/to anywhere and these types of things won’t happen.  We’re all very impressed with your athleticism and your sunglasses and your aerodynamic helmet but cyclists are kind of dick heads.  The ones who ride their bikes to the bar are the worst.  I don’t want to sit next to your sweaty spandex-covered body while you choke down a Bud Select 55 and a salad with no dressing.  “Oh look at me riding my bike because I love the environment and being healthy.  What are you doing for Mother Earth other than suckling her tits dry while giving nothing in return?”  Or at least that’s the dialogue that goes on in my head whenever I see somebody riding their bike.  I’d much rather hope in my Chevy Cobalt (the Ferrari of the mid-size Chevrolets FYI) and simply lower and raise my foot on some pedals and get where I’m going faster.  And I don’t ever get my head smashed in by a security barrier and have it caught on tape.  So there’s that.  Cars > bikes/exercise.  Fact.
