And the Pussification of America Continues: NJ High School Football Coaches Suspended For Nicknaming A Kid the Riddler Who Asked A Ton Of Questions

CEDAR GROVE, N.J. (CBSNewYork)A long football season is in order for one New Jersey school that just had five of their football coaches suspended. As CBS 2 investigative reporter Tamara Leitner reported Tuesday, the Cedar Grove High School Panthers have still been hitting the field, but their coaches have been removed from the gridiron for alleged bullying.“The guys that got suspended; I mean, I know a few of them. They’re great guys,” said Margaret Pantusa, whose son, Marco, plays for the team. “I think it was very ridiculous, just because I think it wasn’t handled correctly. If you have a problem with the coach, I feel like you go directly to the coach.” School and district officials refused to release any details about what led to the suspensions. But many students and parents say they had heard about an incident.“I heard that some of the coaches at Cedar Grove were picking on this one student , I think that he asks too many questions during practice, and they gave him the nickname the “riddler,” and drew some question marks on his jersey,” said former student Joe DeFresco. Some students said bullying should not come without consequences.“If you’re bullying a kid, then I think you should be fired,” said student Joseph Bell.

Huge day for pussification of America.  Monster day.  First the Hanover story and now this.  Apparently caches giving players nicknames is bullying nowadays.  If this happened 20 years ago every coach in the history of coaching would be fired for bullying. Whole thing makes me want to puke. It’s not even like this was a bad nickname either. The player asks a ton of questions. The coach calls him the riddler. It makes perfect sense. More importanlty my question is who in their right mind would ever want to be a high school coach nowadays? You can’t criticize kids. You can’t yell at them. You can’t care about winning. You can’t teach them lessons. All you can do is nod your head, smile and tell everybody how great they are. It’s a joke. Hey newsflash the world isn’t all gumdrops and candy canes. If you don’t have thick skin it’s gonna eat you up and spit you out. The sooner kids learn this the better. But no let’s suspend these coaches and teach this kid that tattling gets your way. Yup that’s the ticket.

PS – No shit this kid wants the coaches fired for bullying. This kid probably has had his lunch money stolen 8 consecutive years and running. Bullied city.  Hey kid grow.  Boom roasted.
