Alabama LB Ryan Anderson Arrested For Kicking His Girlfriend's Car After She Keyed And Threw Coins At His
Alabama - A linebacker for the University of Alabama was arrested early Tuesday on a misdemeanor domestic violence charge. Ryan Anderson is accused of kicking a woman’s vehicle during an argument at an off-campus residence late Monday night, Tuscaloosa Police spokesman Sgt. Brent Blankley stated in a written release. The woman had keyed and thrown coins at Anderson’s vehicle, Blankley said.
TPD officers were called to the residence in the 1300 block of 17th Avenue East at 11:28 p.m., according to the release. They noted damage to both vehicles and found probable cause to charge Anderson and Sierra Patterson, both 20, with third-degree domestic violence/criminal mischief. The domestic violence charge indicates that the two are, or were, involved in a dating relationship. Neither of the two exhibited signs of physical injury, Blankley said.
Anderson and Patterson, both from Daphne, were booked into the Tuscaloosa County Jail early Tuesday morning. Both were still being held on $500 bond Tuesday morning. Anderson was a junior outside linebacker in the 2014 season. He made 25 tackles, including eight tackles for loss with three sacks and nine quarterback hurries as one of the team’s top pass rushers. He sat out his first season as a redshirt and played in all 13 games as a sophomore.
Nice little story here about a couple of crazy young kids in love. It seems to me like Ryan’s girlfriend found some texts or pictures from another girl on his phone and is most likely a big Carrie Underwood fan. So naturally she keyed the shit out of his car and threw some coins at it. I just want to know if she went all Scarlet Letter on him and wrote a message like “CHEATER” or something on the side. Now that’s some solid revenge right there. Yeah you might spend some time in jail but you know who’s going to have a real tough time finding a new girlfriend? The guy who’s picking up his date in a car that has cheater keyed into the side of it. That’s called seeing the big picture. Or maybe she’s still mad at him for losing to OSU. Smh indeed.
Also I’m not sure I understand a domestic violence charge for hitting a car? Criminal mischief or property damage, sure. But domestic violence? Are these cars fucking Transformers or something?
P.S. – Still being held on $500? Not a good look. Pay these players already! Or in the girls case, keep all your quarters in your change purse instead of throwing them at your boyfriends car.
