167 People Cashed Bets That Suarez Would Bite Someone At The World Cup

(Source) — According to Darren Rovell of ESPN, 167 people made the bet, including the owner of the ticket stub seen above. That ticket belongs to Thomas Syversen, who bet 32 krone (about $5.25 USD) on Suarez biting someone. He cashed in for 5600 krone (a little over $916) on the bet. Not a bad bit of business. Considering Suarez has bitten two other people before on a soccer field, the odds weren’t that bad, either.

I still can’t get enough of this Suarez thing. How there’s a guy who’s just nicknamed The Cannibal and he goes around biting people so often that you can get odds on it is insane. Like in America we expect Papi to hit a clutch home run, expect Patrick Kane to score an OT goal, expect Lebron to make excuses in the 4th. In the rest of the world?
