Savage High School Pitcher Catches A Line Drive With His Bare Hand
I don’t recommend this. This dude played it off like a badass, and I’m sure the adrenaline probably helped mask the pain from all the fingers he just shattered. And once the adrenaline wore off, I’m sure his pain was reduced by the thought of how many girls are going to want him on prom night now that this video has gone viral.
So that being said, would you rather make this barehanded play, have the video go viral, and be the big man on campus, but your hand is broken and your senior season is over…OR, would you rather this never happened, you get to play your whole senior season, but you just blend in with the crowd? Note: You’re a decent high school pitcher, but you’re not good enough to get drafted or anything. Which scenario are you going with?
I think I’m going with the viral video and the broken hand. When you’re 18 and in high school, being in a viral video where you come off looking like a badass is the equivalent to being in a Puff Daddy music video in the 90’s. Also, girls love a guy who’s in a cast. They love nursing the wounded fawn back to health. It’d be hard to pass that up. And if you’re decent, but not that great, you can always pull an Uncle Rico and tell girls how good you would’ve been if you had been out there. Could’ve been state champs.
