Madison Bumgarner Is Low Key The Biggest Hardo In The MLB

Not only is Madison Bumgarner a top 10 pitcher in the National League, but he’s also the first name that comes to mind when most fans think of the guy who they’d want on the mound in a must-win game in October. That being said, he’s gotta be one of the biggest, if not the biggest, hardo in the MLB, no? Every time I look up, this guy is puffing out his chest and acting like a hardass with someone for no reason. I mean, the evidence to support this claim is pretty overwhelming.

Okay, so we now have five examples here, including the most recent incident between Bumgarner and Wil Myers last night. Of those five examples, how many times was Bumgarner just looking for a reason and making a big deal out of nothing? Four? I think the only time when he didn’t really initiate the confrontation was when Yasiel Puig came out to the mound. But you could argue that Bumgarner hit Puig intentionally because of the pimped home run incident prior to that. So, five out of five times, Bumgarner was being a hardo, most of which were completely uncalled for.

And you could look at last night’s incident with Myers as the most ridiculous of them all. Myers struck out, and Bumgarner stared him down immediately after, while Myers was just looking at the radar gun to see how hard the fastball was that he punched out on. I love when players are intense and have a competitive spirit, but Bumgarner just comes across as kind of an asshole that’s always looking for a reason. You were staring Myers down, and waiting for him to give you even the tiniest reason to cause a scene. Hardo 101.

The craziest part about all of it was that Bumgarner made a joke about it after. How do you go from wanting to rip a guy’s face off to ROFL LOLZ.
