Derek Jeter Just Wants Privacy

NYDNDerek Jeter is building a wall.

Well, sort of.

The former Yankees captain was granted permission by Tampa City Hall to build a taller gate outside his mansion in order to prevent visitors from peering into his home, according to the Tampa Bay Times.

Hundreds of people visit the mansion, known to Tampa locals as “St. Jetersburg,” throughout the week while trying to get a peek of the five-time World Series champion and his home, the Times says.

A representative for Jeter told the city’s Variance Review Board that it has created an intrusive environment and security risk, not just for Jeter, but his neighbors too.

“People hang out there,” Jeter rep Stephen Michelini told the board. “They’re looking for snapshots. They come at all times of the day and night. … The neighbors themselves have become the enforcers here, and frankly, they’re getting a little tired of it.”

Biggest no-brainer in the world here for Derek. It used to be that he was traveling all over the country playing baseball and then after retirement, he tool time to travel the world. You want to look into his place, go nuts because he isn’t home. Things change when you get married though.

Now that Derek is locked down for life, he’s not out at clubs and traveling around the world. He’s at home spending every minute just trying to figure out where things went wrong. He’s probably not even going out in the local area for dinner, all Seamless or personal chef. Every married guy will tell you that once you’re married, going anywhere is no fun so it’s much easier to park your ass at home.

So let Derek build his wall so that maybe Hannah will walk around naked and he can feel the joy of being alive again. Plus he doesn’t need weirdos like me outside making stupid YouTube videos.

PS: We really need baseball season back so these blogs can be interesting.
