Yesterday’s blog…Video Comes Out Of FSU QB De’Andre Johnson Punching A Girl In The Face At A Bar
TMZ – Florida State QB De’Andre Johnson claims the woman he struck in a Tallahassee bar fight called him the N-word before things got violent … this according to Johnson’s rep.
We’re told … Johnson is adamant the woman dropped the N-bomb when Johnson initially bumped into her at the bar … saying, “Get off me you fucking nigger.”
Johnson’s rep says there are witnesses at the bar who also claim they heard the racial slur … and they’re willing to testify in court.
As we previously reported, Johnson says he’s “extremely embarrassed” about the situation and has apologized for punching the woman in the face … while maintaining that SHE was the initial aggressor.
We reached out to the woman and her family members several times for comment — but got nothing … except one family member told us he would not comment and hung up.
…
Nothing from this report changes a single word of what I wrote yesterday. We all saw the video. We all knew that this chick was the aggressor. We saw her instigating and hitting first. While I’m not sure how much I trust a bunch of witnesses who are clearly coming to Johnson’s defense all of a sudden saying she was dropping N bombs, it certainly wouldn’t surprise me if she did. But none of that matters in regards to that punch. Even if every single thing from this report is true – even if you were drunk, got pushed, kneed in the balls, called the N word, then hit in the face. Can’t even imagine the anger bubbling up from that series of events. But like I said, that’s just part of being a man, being able to control it. You just can’t wind back and unleash a full force haymaker to a woman’s face like that, period. Sorry but that’s the way it is.
Not only from a moral standpoint, but because it’s the fastest way to watch your football career disappear in front of your eyes.
