Video Of An Istanbul Bomber Shot By A Cop And Then Forced To Blow Up From His Own Bomb Is So Satisfying

The Independent – CCTV footage has emerged appearing to show the moment one of the Istanbul airport attackers was brought down by police.

In the video, which has not yet been independently verified, a man can be seen walking through the terminal building armed with an AK-47 as people flee in all directions.

As he rounds a corner, a police officer opens fire, causing the attacker to fall and drop his automatic weapon.

The police officer can be seen approaching the wounded terrorist before abruptly turning and running away. Moments later, the man appears to detonate his suicide vest, resulting in a large explosion.

Riggs had more details on the horrific attack on an Istanbul airport that killed over 40 people and injured hundreds more and it’s another scary situation internationally. But overall with these situations it’s important not to lose sight of the people who went above and beyond to try to prevent things from getting worse, guys like this cop who not only shot the terrorist down but also got people away and basically forced this dude to impotently blow up his bomb as he was bleeding out on the floor. For as many awful things as guys like this terrorist perpetrate, there’s something satisfying about seeing him writhe around on the floor incompetently before being sent to a next life with an explosion that seemingly took out no one but himself. No chance at 72 virgins after that piss poor effort, if you’re lucky it’s maybe one virgin who’s more of the 90s wacky teen comedy type trying to get laid at prom and sodomizing nearby desserts in the mean time.

Also this is definitely one of those situations where I’m glad Istanbul hasn’t updated to a HD Nest cam or something and is using some old school Die Hard 2 airport cameras. Seeing a terrorist blow up on grainy video even with body parts flying around = A-okay. Once you start throwing some 4K video it’s might be as emotionally satisfying but a little too close to the old clips on Ogrish.com for my taste.
