SEATTLE, Wash. The University of Washington is facing some backlash for an infographic it posted on Tuesday giving advice for those interested in their cheerleader tryouts.

In a story first reported by The Seattle Times, UW posted an infographic explaining what to do and what not to do when attempting to try out for their cheerleading team.

The graphic, which was pulled shortly after posting, faced immediate backlash from Facebook commenters, with some questioning the exclusionary vibe the graphic presented.

University officials released a statement to the paper saying they removed the image after the department “determined that some of the details and descriptions provided were inconsistent with the values of the UW spirit program and department of athletics.”

Holy fuck, is this true? That cheerleading teams want their cheerleaders to be attractive to look at? Jesus, what the hell is wrong with the world. All I can say is that thank god for the internet and whoever leaked this image to expose the ugly truth. If you see something, say something. Doesn’t just apply to terrorists on the subway, applies to anything remotely not politically correct that you come across in your day to day life. Something like an infographic asking cheerleaders who represent a team by dancing nonstop in skimpy outfits to not be 350 pounds with tattoos on their face.

DO’s:

Bronze, beachy glow

False lashes

Girl about town lipstick

Flattering eye shadow

Physically fit, athletic physique

Nude or no fingernail polish

Natural tan/Spray tan

DON’TS:

Dark, smokey eyes

Nude lips

Too much makeup

Jewelry of any kind

Ponytails

High-waited shorts

Only by posting the offending image to social media and violently shaming and cyberbullying the offending party until they admit defeat and cave can we start the healing process.
