UC Davis Spent $175,000 To Try And Scrub Pictures Of The Infamous Pepper Spray Cop Off Of Google

Sacramento BeeAs part of an effort to counteract negative publicity after the November 2011 pepper spraying of student protestors, UC Davis retained consultants for at least $175,000 to improve the school’s online image. Documents related to the effort were released to The Sacramento Bee this week in response to requests filed last month under the California Public Records Act.

In January 2013, UC Davis signed on with a Maryland company called Nevins & Associates for a six-month contract that paid $15,000 a month.

IDMLOCO was awarded a contract in June 2014 for $82,500 to “design and execute a comprehensive search engine results management strategy.”

This is what I was talking about yesterday! My favorite protest moment ever. You thought I was just singling out the Mizzou protesters, oh no no no. This was back in 2011:

UC Davis Losers Get Their Shit Pepper Sprayed To All Hell

So this was a big story over the weekend.  UC Davis kids protesting and some cop just comes up to them and drops a billion pounds of pepper spray in their eyeballs.   Not to be confused with UC Berkeley or one of those other pussy UC schools where I’m pretty sure “Whining About (Insert Cause Here)” is a recognized major.  Everyone getting their ass whooped with billy clubs and mase and shit.  Whatever.  Couldn’t care less about these losers’ eyes.   Obviously the cop is an asshole but guess what?  That’s what happens when you sit in the middle of the place screaming and shouting and being annoying.  That’s what protesting is all about.  Getting pepper sprayed and beat up by cops.  Deal with it.  Or better yet stop protesting in the first place in the middle of a university that your parents pay a gigantic tuition for you entitled fucking dipshits.

Anyway I guess the Chancellor of the school agreed with the police action or something so everyone in the school hates her.  Check out how the students reacted.  Warning:  Graphic footage.  NSFW.

They gave her the silent treatment!  HAHA!  As if being whiny crybabies throwing temper tantrums wasn’t enough they literally gave the SILENT TREATMENT as their angry response.  You can’t make this shit up.

Seriously though look at that move. Like a wrestler hyping the crowd up for his finisher.

And now the Sacramento Bee found some documents and contracts outlining UC Davis’s plan to deal with it – pay a firm almost 200 grand to scrub it off the internet.

Just a shockingly embarrassing lack of understanding of how the internet works. Well, I guess not too shocking, we’re talking about a college administration here.

Taxpayer money well spent!

PS,

Didn’t know memes were a thing in 2011.
