This Lady Reporter In The Blizzard While Snot Waterfalls From Her Nose Is Such A Goddamn Professional

Uproxx – Nashville’s News Channel 5 reporter Alexandra Koehn bravely stood her ground to bring central Tennessee hard-hitting coverage of the blizzard, all while the brisk air caused torrents of snot to flow freely from her nostrils. But did Alexandra Koehn stop to wipe her face? No, she did not. Because she is a professional, and the news can’t wait. Instead, she fearlessly continued, perhaps knowing that she was going to be ridiculed far and wide on the internet.

Ridiculed? Anyone who does that is a complete idiot. I’m not here to mock Alexandra Koehn. I’m here to praise her. Her continuing on with that report in the cold with snow coming down even though she clearly wasn’t used to the cold like a reporter from the Midwest (where most chicks are at least half bear in terms of cold tolerance and depending upon the state also their physical build and body hair) might be was a good job. But doing that with your own snot pouring out of your nose and occasionally into your mouth was a step beyond. As a female local reporter, your job is basically two things: 1) Don’t screw up and curse on camera and 2) Don’t look gross. But this girl kept going as mucus literally poured into her mouth, knowing no one watching this telecast would look at her the same again, all to bring the good people of Nashville the crucial news that yes, in fact, this is a frozen form of water falling from the heavens. Truly courageous and deserving of all the meaningless local news Emmys.
