Rio Tells Olympic Athletes To "Keep Their Mouths Closed" During Water Events Because It's Literally Full Of Shit

RIO – IF OLYMPIC athletes’ tolerance levels were not being pushed to the limit already, they’ve now been told to keep their mouths closed.

On top of concerns over substandard Olympic village accommodation, athletes have been warned that Rio’s aquatic sites remain contaminated.

Government and Olympic officials admit efforts to treat sewage and clear garbage from Guanabara Bay and the city’s beaches have been insufficient, prompting warnings from health experts.

The bay will host the sailing and windsurfing events at next month’s Olympics.

Scientists say the waters are filled with a host of pathogens and viruses with recent tests showing it is more contaminated than first thought, The New York Times reported.

One doctor told The Times that athletes will “literally be swimming in human crap”.

Paediatrician Daniel Becker also warned they were at risk of getting sick from microorganisms and toxins in the water.
Health experts have advised competitors to keep their mouths shut.

Holy shit I’m so sick of these athletes whining. They’re worse than the journalists complaining about their lodging at this point! I mean isn’t the whole point of being an athlete overcoming obstacles and being mentally tough? Overcoming minor annoyances about your surroundings and just focusing on the competition? Imagine if football players were crying that the turf was too hard, or basketball players complaining the rims were too low, or hockey players saying the ice was too slippery? So the water contains literal human shit and raw sewage and pathogens and viruses and microorganisms and toxins. So the health department is saying it’s legitimately contaminated and that you will get sick if you enter it. It’s mind over matter. You want a gold medal draped around your neck? Got to be prepared to sacrifice/die from dysentery like it’s the god damn Oregon Trail.

The Rio Olympics…where if the ZIKA virus and crazed gang members shooting you in the face with automatic rifles while the police sleep on the streets because nobody pays them won’t kill you, the contaminated shit water might.
