LSU Donating All Ticket Sale Profits From Saturday's Game To South Carolina Flood Relief

CFTSaturday’s South Carolina-LSU game will take place in Louisiana, not South Carolina. In spite of that, LSU will do everything in its power to make its short-notice guests feel welcome.

“We’re not going to make much money on this game,” LSU AD Alleva said. “We’ll also make some type of contribution to the South Carolina Flood Refund at the end of the day.

“All ticket sales after expenses will go to South Carolina. They are basically the home team for this game. This is a lagniappe game for our fans. I hope our fans come out and support both teams.

On that front, South Carolina could not have hoped for a better place to play an impromptu road game.

So as you’ve probably heard by now, South Carolina’s home game against LSU this Saturday has officially been moved to Louisiana due to the floods. Gambling lines taken off the table, wagers refunded. Sure they can wear the jerseys and have all the formalities of being a “home” team, but everyone knows realistically that it’s not even close. It’s an LSU home game now. From Columbia to Death Valley. A crushing blow for the fan base. One of your biggest games of the season taken off your campus and being played in a rival’s stadium – yeah SC’s season may be pretty much over but a home game against LSU is something everyone can get amped for and one of the true highlights of the season.

What you may not have heard is that LSU has done literally everything in their power to soften the blow.

Just a classy showing all around from LSU. If those Good Guy memes were still a thing on the internet, Good Guy LSU would be the #1 trending thing in the college football world right now. Props to the Tigers.
