Kmarko's DraftKings Picks - July 30th

KMARKO-HR

Welcome back to the daily DraftKings picks where we try to get super rich playing daily fantasy baseball. As usual I’ll do a brief recap of my lineups from the night before then throw out some picks that I’m brainstorming for tonight, and hopefully get some good feedback/tips/picks from you guys either in the comment section or on Twitter @kmarkobarstool.

Managed to cash with both my optimal lineup last night –

And my secondary lineup –

And also had a good run for the day games today (not sure what’s happening with the Mets delay/rainout or how that’s gonna work)

Nothing major though. Was hoping for more. Still, keeping my bank roll strong is all part of the game, jumping in some big tourneys every night with my eye on taking down a top 10 finish and making some serious coin.

As for tonight, I like the slate-

Pitcher Notes:

-Chris Sale is you’re obvious top dog here. Could easily see him shutting down the Red Sox with an 11-12K performance. The problem, as always, is the price.

-After Sale you run into some difficulties. Arrieta is a clear cut #2 I think, but that price is outrageous. Over 12K!

-Carlos Martinez and Shelby Miller are solid places to look, but they’re expensive and their opponents limit their K upside.

-Liking Kazmir’s spot tonight, especially if Trout is out again.

-Miguel Gonzalez is probably my gut-feeling value play risk of the night, but last night it was Bartolo, so make of that what you will.

OF Andrew McCutchen $4.8K

Got burned by McCutchen last time I picked him, but this is how I roll, short memory. Bottom line is the Pirates have a great matchup tonight and Cutch is one of the best players in the game. One dud can’t keep me off the guy forever. I think it’s between him and Joey Bats as top outfielders of the night.

2B Brian Dozier $4.6K

I’ve been lying back just waiting to spring and snatch up Dozier in a premier matchup, and tonight I make my move. I don’t roster him that much because his price is usually sky high for the position, but make no mistake about it, Dozier is a threat to double-dong any game he’s out there. And against a lefty? Hell yeah. Twins are a top 5 offense to target tonight and it starts with Dozier.

OF Melky Cabrera $4.3K

Honestly what’s changed since last night?

Like I said yesterday, the White Sox are my new Phillies. Horrible on paper statistically, but when you actually follow them on DFS, they’re putting up major stats. And it’s all centered around these two guys right here, first up being Adam Eaton. Porcello has been surprisingly solid lately but I think the suddenly-hot White Sox put up some runs on him tonight, and Eaton should be right in the middle of it. As should…Melky Cabrera. Read: above. 3.8K is an insane price for his recent production and his matchup with Porcello. Fire up the Melk Man.

And tonight the pitcher has gotten arguably worse. I’ll hop right back on the horse here thank you very much. Basically it was a coin flip for Eaton or Melky here and I gave the slight slight edge to Melky because he has a good history against the knuckleball.

Value Play: Troy Tulowitzki $3.9K

Listen I don’t want to be too chalky here but come on, are you kidding me with that price? I trotted Tulo out in all my lineups last night, he had a monster monster game, and his price just DROPPED to below $4K. Insanity. Your problem here obviously is high ownership levels, but I don’t know if this is the place I want to fade. Will try and go contrarian elsewhere. I don’t even care if Tulo ends up with 0 points, I still will stick by this being the right value play.

That’s it for me, good luck tonight, hit me up @kmarkobarstool and let me know your picks. I might not respond to everyone but I definitely appreciate all the tips that come in and believe it or not I extremely consider them for making lineup changes.
