Kid Working Security At The College World Series Has Been Waiting His Entire Life To Lay Somebody Out Like This

It wouldn’t be a year at the College World Series without a fan rushing the field. During the Florida vs. Louisville game in between the 8th and 9th innings, a fan jumped from the general admission seats onto the playing field before immediately being tackled by security. [3NewsNow]

That was it.  The moment this kid has dreamed of his entire life.  All of his friends signing up for Pop Warner but he was always a little bit too small, too scrawny, undersized.  Parents wouldn’t let him play.  They’d read all the literature on head injuries.   Had to watch from the outskirts, perched atop his bicycle, as all his buddies strapped on their shoulder pads and helmets and learned how to tackle.  Smashing against the dummies and the sleds.  Lowering their shoulders into moving human bodies during live scrimmages.  Gladiators on the gridiron.  Comparing war wounds after practice, icing the bumps and bruises, symbols of the pain and glory.

Just had to take it all in and wait for the day that he too would get a chance to be one of the guys, to assert his manhood.  To show everyone that he too was a man.  To show himself.

Then finally – at long last – the opportunity presented itself.

The moment he prepared his whole life for.

Like a gift from the Gods..

…a drunk doofus college kid jumped on the field chasing a beach ball in the 8th inning of a Florida and Louisville baseball game.

Time to fucking shine.

That’s what I imagine happened at least.  Sometimes my imagination is a little too active.
