Hanson Says Justin Bieber's Music Is "Chlamydia Of The Ear"...Hanson!

Fox News – Hanson has slammed Justin Bieber, comparing both the pop star and his music to a sexually transmitted disease.

Isaac, Taylor and Zac Hanson took the music world by storm 20 years ago when their song “MMMBop” went to number one in 27 different countries.

But in an interview with Hit107 FM in Adelaide, they made it quite clear they’re not fans of current chart-topping artist, Bieber, who has three out of the top five singles on the Australian Recording Industry Association charts.

Admitting they don’t listen to much “modern” music, it wasn’t surprising that none of the Hanson members knew the title or artist of the biggest song in the country right now, “Despacito.”

“Can I just say I’m glad I didn’t know what that was,” one of the brothers said.

“I prefer not to get any venereal diseases so whenever Justin Bieber gets near me or near my ears … it’s just ear infections, they’re terrible.”

Hanson, who seemed amused throughout the interview by the fact most Koala’s have chlamydia, then compared Bieber to one of the furry creatures.

“It’s like hanging out with a koala,” one of them said, “Chlamydia of the ear, it sucks.”

Let me tell you some people who can very fairly rip Justin Bieber:  99.99999% of working musicians in the industry.  Almost anyone who can play an instrument or sing on key.  Fans raised with the Beatles and the Stones and Bob Dylan can have a legitimate gripe with what he represents about music today and the people who consume it.

Who can’t make fun of Justin Bieber’s music?

Seriously this is not a pro Justin Bieber blog.  I have no interest in defending Justin Bieber right now.  Sure I’m The One and 2U are already some of the biggest bangers of the year and it’s only June but that’s neither here nor there.  This is a principle blog.  This is a blog about one of the most extreme cases of a lack of self awareness these eyes have ever seen.  The height of hypocrisy.   Because all Barstool shtick aside this is one of the most confounding statements ever made in the history of music.
