ESPN - Bo Paske is an autistic student at Montford Middle School in Tallahassee, Florida. He was sitting alone at lunch, and Florida State wide receiver Travis Rudolph took notice.

His mom told the story on Facebook.

“I was just a kid not too long ago and I remember what the impact was of guys that played in college and in the NFL coming back to us,” Rudolph said. “So I feel like maybe I can change someone’s life or I can make someone a better person or make someone want to be great or be like me, or even better.”

Rudolph racked up 1,471 receiving yards last year, and it looks as if his junior season is already off to a great start.

That mom’s Facebook post man – heartbreaking.

So without further ado I would now like to announce my favorite college football player of 2016.

It’s not going to be somebody with a sweet mullet or crazy haircut or funny name this year. It’s FSU’s Travis Rudolph in an absolute landslide.

College football players (and FSU players specifically) have been taking a lot of heat lately for off the field behavior and character issues. Feels like there’s a blog a day about an arrest featuring a fresh mugshot and a suspension announcement.

Seeing a guy like Travis Rudolph visit a school, notice a kid eating all alone, and just casually stroll over and eat his pizza with him is really, really fucking awesome.

Goes right up there with the NC State players in 2013.
