MediaiteNavy Football called out ESPN on Twitter Wednesday after star quarterback Keenan Reynolds was removed from their online fan ballot for the Heisman Trophy after Reynolds emerged as the frontrunner.

Reynolds has had an outstanding season, setting a new record for rushing touchdowns by a quarterback and leading Navy football to a 9-2 record and their first ranking in the AP poll in over a decade. As the underdog Midshipmen have climbed their way up the polls, Reynolds quickly became a trendy choice to win the prestigious Heisman Trophy.

It’s still possible to vote for Reynolds on ESPN’s site, but instead you have to manually select his name among the literally thousands of Division 1 college football players. Despite the removal from the default ballot, Reynolds is still voters’ top choice, with 37% of the vote.

Such a savage, blatant move from ESPN that you really have no choice but to respect it. Keenan Reynolds is dominating the fan voting? Who? What SEC team does he play for? Wait, NAVY?! Oh no no no no. Delete. Delete. Delete.

You know what I think it is? ESPN hates the military. Pretty clear at this point. They heard Reynolds was skipping the NFL Draft to fulfill his military obligations defending America and ESPN was all like, fuck that. Bet it was Mortensen’s call.
