Barstool March Madness Elite 8 Roundup

Another round of awesome games in the books, let’s jump right into it. It’s Roundup time.

First game of the Elite 8, probably one of the most if not the most anticipated matchups when the brackets came out, and it didn’t disappoint. Difference came down to Wisconsin’s stars making plays (Kaminsky and Dekker) and Arizona’s not (Stanley Johnson).

This sealed it.

Can’t stop watching that shot. Unreal shot. I mean look at the freaking release point.

Dekker keeps it real.

(For the record though, Frank was right, that’s a foul. He completely whiffed on trying to draw the body contact and it looked embarrassing, but he’s talking about how he got hit on the arm, which he did. Doesn’t matter how ugly it looked, a shot is a shot and if you hit the shooter’s arm it’s a foul.)

Frank was kind of being annoying though so I get not wanting to reward him.

Hit em with the shade Frank!

Game of the weekend right here. Thought Notre Dame had no chance going in, turns out they not only had a chance, but they were the superior team for 99% of this game. Every time you thought they were playing out of their minds and were about to run out of gas, they went on a mini-run and increased their lead on an Auguste dunk or a white boy 3. Heartbreak city to not pull that one out.

Don’t get the people defending Notre Dame not making any adjustments. Yes if you double down on Towns it will open up jump shooters. So? Rather have guys taking 3 pointers than a top 2 pick in the NBA draft shooting layups.

Seriously if the Harrison twins are going to hit these shots, there’s literally nothing you can do about it. Rather go down with them chucking 25 footers than Towns literally reaching over someone’s head and placing the ball into the basket 9 times in a row.

It’s scary how easily Kentucky can just switch it on and perfectly execute an alley oop seemingly whenever they want.

When ND was rolling it was damn fun to watch.

Getting real tired of Ashley Judd.  Somebody alert the NCAA to these benefits.

This picture they showed of Harrison and Ulis from middle school was hilarious.

One word: IzzoMarchMagic.

If you ran a computer simulation on this game based on these 2 teams this year, this is exactly what you’d get. Louisville playing balls out but forgetting how to score, and Michigan State playing like shit for a half then turning it on and getting hot.  One second you think they’re about to lose by 15, then you blink and all of a sudden they’re dominating.

Never a doubt when Mangok stepped to the line, never a doubt.

And still my favorite part of the game.  When Blackshear got a bloody nose and had to come out so Pitino sent this 12 year old kid in to take his free throw.

Wish I had video, just tough to justify the shock of watching all these star players that you’ve known all season battle each other an entire game, then you look up and all of a sudden this dude is at the line with 3 minutes left in a 4 point game.  Calmly buried his shot then quietly took his spot back on the bench.  Amazing.

If I could pick one player to be on my team in crunch time in a must win game it’s Justise Winslow. Hands down.  That dude is everywhere and makes every big play down the stretch.

And Duke did all this with their NBA lottery pick being basically non-existent.

One play does not win or lose a basketball game. But like this play lost the game for Zaga

Just glad Tony had a good time.

Gonzaga couldn’t pull it out but it wasn’t for a lack of hype that’s for sure.

Omg omgomgomg he touched my hand!

Any updates on which cheerleader this creeper murdered after the game ended?
