Delta Pilot Orders Pizzas For Entire Plane After Flight Delay
(CNN)Diverted because of bad weather in Atlanta, a Delta Air Lines pilot and airport crew turned to the classic solution for many a grumpy passenger: pizza.
As torrential rains swept through Atlanta on Tuesday afternoon, some flights were delayed arriving at the world’s busiest airport — and Delta’s home base.
A 2 p.m. Delta flight from Philadelphia to Atlanta was diverted to Knoxville, Tennessee, because of the storms in Atlanta.
“We circled in the air for a while (and) then the captain said we were diverting to Knoxville because of storms over the airport in Atlanta,” passenger Khoury Ashooh told the DailyMail.
Pizza delivered to the aircraft via baggage cart seemed to cheer everyone up, according to their social media posts.

Seriously if Delta doesn’t give this pilot a 100% raise immediately they have no idea how to take care of their employees, or if it was their idea in the first place, they need to give themselves a hearty pat on the back. There’s just nobody in the game with a worse reputation and more negative public perception than the airline industry right now (with the possible exceptions of FIFA, Congress and Dan Snyder). Planes dropping out of the sky, just flat out disappearing for more than a year (seriously they haven’t found that plane yet), delay after delay after delay, straight up molestation from super handsy TSA agents who then shoot cancer x rays through your body. Now you’ve got a plane diverted, forced to land at a different airport and sitting on the tarmac for hours while absolutely destroying everyone’s travel plans. As they all reach for their phones to tweet @Delta how much they blow dick, all it takes is one simple act of ordering everybody a shit ton of pizza to instantly go viral and boom…crisis averted. Just such a no brainer move here that I’m surprised nobody has done it before.

But on a normal flight he’s 100% the kind of hardo asshole who makes you put your phone on Airplane Mode and actually stands over your shoulder watching you do it for confirmation.
