Wow I love this. First of all I love Brent Musburger – who doesn’t? Dude is a legend and actively, openly gambles on every single game he ever covers. Never gone a game without mentioning his friends in the desert. And now he’s got a new addition for his Hall of Fame resume – being the first announcer I think to ever openly address his Twitter mentions live on air??

Getting chewed up and spit out by the internet and firing back with the whole world watching. Awesome.

Now did I love his comments? Not really considering Joe Mixon is a dirtbag and I’d probably wish him a long lengthy ACL tear before a lengthy NFL career. But it’s not like Brent just brushed over everything and pretended everything was good – he addressed how awful it was and wished him the best with his second chance. Maybe not in the best taste but certainly not deserving of getting shit down his throat by all the Twitter white knights. I give him props for not tucking his tail between his legs and passive aggressively subtweeting about it later like every other announcer would do. Just hit em back right on the broadcast. Old school.

The chant is applicable because Joe Mixon does in fact hit women.
