A Chef Caught Doing Coke On Live TV Should Be Applauded For His Dedication

HelloU – Thirty-six-year-old ?ubomír Herko appeared on the Slovakian TV show Telerano as the screen suddenly cut from an interview segment to him doing ‘prep’ work.

[T]he TV station on which it aired, TV Markiza, are saying [it’s a joke]:

“We consider this an entirely inappropriate ‘joke’ that has no place in such a broadcast.”

First off, I think you really need to admire the news station for that lie they’re spinning to cover it up. The “It’s obviously a joke and we’re as angry as you are” defense is a good one, takes the blame off them for the most part and pretends like that was just baking soda instead of the hard drug it was. Given that the cameraman was actually filming this and zooming in, I’m pretty sure both the camera man and multiple types of producers would have to be in on this “joke” and willing to risk their jobs for it. Not likely. What’s more likely is having a cameraman who might be the dumbest or most naive person on Earth, watching this chef rub his nose and chop up blow with a rolled up dollar bill next to it and think, “Hmm I wonder what delightful items our chef is preparing here? Perhaps some sort of salt! I’ll capture this moment for the good of viewers everywhere.” Slovakian Handsome Hank life.

But really I don’t blame this chef. Have you seen TV chefs before? They have to be non stop pep and excitement and make an activity that a lot of people hate or don’t even do on a regular basis seem like the most exciting thing in the world. Emeril Lagasse’s catchphrase was literally shouting the word “BAM,” you don’t think he might have done a bump or two in his day? So if this chef needs some lines or is dropping Addies into a smoothie to keep the energy up, I don’t blame him one bit. He may end up chopping a shitload more celery than needed or mince the garlic with his grinding teeth, but I’ll take the enthusiasm and sped up food preparation of a coked-up chef over a non-coked up chef every single time.
