1. What is the best part about working at a Boston type bar which is located in Brighton?
Erin - The best part of being a "Boston Bar" in Brighton is that it is more of a "neighborhood" bar so I have the chance to get to know some really great people. Also we don't have to deal with the same chaos of downtown; people aren't punching each other in the face just because they are drunk.
Marjorie -The best part is that we still get a really fun “club” crowd on the weekends. The worst part is that people who don’t live right in Brighton think it’s so out of the way, even though that’s not the case at all.
Erica - The best part of working at a bar in Brighton is that I don't have to commute into Faneuil Hall or go down town to stay busy and have a good night.
2. Does buying drinks for a girl at a bar work? What would you suggest?
Erin - Buying drinks for girls at a bar definitely usually means less money in your pocket and that's all...but girls will always love a free drink, and maybe you'll be that exception to the rule, so keep buying guys! Hint: The ladies love those martinis!
Marjorie -Yes, it’s definitely better than approaching her and saying something cheesy. It’s a subtler and less annoying way to show her you are interested. As for what drink…it would probably make the most sense to buy her whatever it is that she is drinking.
Erica - Buying drinks for girls works sometimes, but it's not a sure thing if the guy's going to be a jerk once he opens his mouth. I would suggest Tony's "Blue Balls."
3. How many people do you think go out strictly looking to hook up? How many do you think actually do?
Erin – I think most people who go out are looking to just have a good time, and a hook-up is definitely an added bonus!
Marjorie -My guess would be 99% of people are looking to hook up and I would have to say, on a good night, maybe 10% actually do
Erica - I'd guess about 50 percent of people go out on Friday and Saturday nights to hook up. The others are the fun ones who are out to have a good time with their friends. I'd guess only about 10-20 percent actually do hook up at the end of the night.
4. If you could have a drink with anybody at SoHo who would it be and why?
Erin – If I could drink with anyone at SoHo it would be George W. Bush. I'd like to ask him, "What the hell are you doing?"
Marjorie -Jessica Simpson. I don’t know why, I just love her.
Erica - I’d have a drink with Jason Varitek - because I love him and the Red Sox.
5. What’s the best part about working at SoHo?
Erin – The best part about working at SoHo is definitely the staff! They are all great people and we have so much fun together! It sux to give up your social life to work the weekends, but it's worth it when you are working with your friends and making $$.
Marjorie - Definitely the people. The staff is awesome; we have a blast together. Also, we have a really great group of regulars. It makes your job so much better when you enjoy the people you are with.
Erica - The best part about working at Soho is that I get to go to work every weekend and I actually have fun because I love the people that I work with.
