The Suns Really Could Have Used Kayla Simmons' Long Distance Shooting During Their Series Against The Timberwolves

In my time at this company I've only known Kayla Simmons to be an exceptional volleyball player. A generational talent so to speak. The Paige Spiranac of volleyball if you will. Well, now we're learning she's a two sport athlete thanks to this exclusive footage (her Instagram reels)

You see that form? Never encountered a lefty sharp shooter who I didn't want on my squad. You don't think a team like the Suns could have used her in their series against the Wolves? You're lying to yourself if you disagree. That stroke is pure.

The big discussion around the Suns now shifts to what do they do in the offseason? After their first round pick in the upcoming draft they don't pick again for the remainder of the Earth's lifetime. Bradley Beal's worst contact in sports puts a nice stranglehold on their payroll while Booker and KD are locked up for at least the next couple of seasons. They're a second apron team so you really can't change much to the roster unless you trade one of the big guys.

You sign Kayla Simmons though? Give her the vet minimum to be a spot up shooter and you're going places. At the bare minimum you're selling out every game. You could make the argument that pool basketball shooting doesn't necessarily translate to an NBA arena, but you'd be wrong. Realistically no one is reading this far anyways so why waste anymore time.

Just something to think about for Matt Ishbia.
