On Episode 24 of Starting 9, we’ve got a double guest show for you. We’ve got two-time World Series champion David Eckstein and the newest member of the Phillies radio broadcast team and former major leaguer Kevin Frandsen. With Eckstein we talk about a range of topics including how sick he did or didn’t get of being called “scrappy”, his wife pressuring him to use Twitter, what active player he sees himself in the most, his memories of the 2002 World Series playing against Barry Bonds and a lot more.

With Frandsen, we get into the hard-hitting questions like whether or not he masturbates with coconut oil because Phillies manager Gabe Kapler does, who he’s most excited to watch every day from the booth, and a great story about one of the times that he faced Dallas Braden and Dallas (shockingly) was shit talking him.

In the actual podcast, we talk about the reports that Gerrit Cole had been traded to the Houston Astros, which were later described as false. We also discuss Starlin Castro wanting nothing to do with being a Marlin, the Padres hiring FanGraphs writer Dave Cameron, and an interesting batch of Twitter questions.
