Michigan 27 Michigan State 21

Over the history of the rivalry between Michigan and Michigan State, the Wolverines have dominated the series. However, in recent years the Spartans have been in full control, winning eight of the last ten games. Coming off a dominant win over Wisconsin, Michigan has some serious momentum as they hope to win the Big Ten Championship and make the playoff. This is a game they must win, to be taken seriously, as far too often they have suffered a letdown. Michigan State is a strong team and should keep things interesting until the end of the game. The Wolverines have too much talent and will get the win as they begin to focus on the team down south.

Oklahoma 24 TCU 20

The Sooners have had two weeks to recover from their loss in the Red River Shootout. In that game, Oklahoma nearly staged a comeback for the ages with three touchdowns in the fourth quarter to tie the game, before they were done in by Dicker the kicker. Oklahoma faces another test this week as they return to the Dallas Metroplex to take on TCU, a team that beat them in Norman last year. The Horned Frogs are struggling this season, losing three of their last four games. Despite the struggles, TCU has played well on defense; look for them to give Kyler Murray all he can handle. In the send, the Sooners find a way to get the win, as TCU is lacking sorely on offense.

Clemson 41 NC State 13

Don’t look now but Clemson is starting to get hot. After their comeback win over Syracuse two weeks ago, the Tigers mauled Wake Forest on the road 63-3, as Travis Etienne had a monster game rushing for 167 yards with three touchdowns. NC State also comes into the game undefeated at 5-0, but just one of their wins came against a ranked team, as they edged Boston College last week. The Wolf Pack are a nice team, but not anywhere near the same class as Clemson, who comes out to make a big statement on their homecoming.

LSU 27 Mississippi State 10

Last week, LSU had perhaps their biggest win of the Ed Orgeron era, as they beat #2 Georgia 36-16. The win especially satisfying coming off a loss in the Swamp. At 5-1, the Bayou Bengals are now in the Top five with a showdown against #1 Alabama at Baton Rouge coming in two weeks. With a bye week this week, LSU must guard against a letdown against a solid Mississippi State team. However, the Bulldogs don’t have enough offense to make a serious threat, look for LSU to win easily.

Washington State 30 Oregon 24

For many years, a fan has traveled every Saturday to dozens of college campuses waving a crimson Washington State flag behind, the ESPN College GameDay set, with the hopes of luring Lee Corso and company to Eastern Washington. The wait is finally over as the Cougars take on Oregon in a key Pac-12 North battle. The Ducks are coming off a dramatic overtime win over Washington, while the Cougars are 5-1 with a high-octane offense. The Ducks expended a lot of energy in their win over Huskies and will face a tough situation as the Wazzu fan base will be fired up like never before. This has a Cougars win written all over it.

Utah 31 USC 23

Both teams come in playing strong football as they battle in the Pac-12 South Division. The Utes already have two conference losses, losing to both teams from Washington. While USC has won three straight since their loss in Texas. JT Daniels the Trojans freshman quarterback appears to be improving on a weekly basis, but as an 18-year-old will still suffer some growing pains. This will likely come in the form of tough road games. The Utes took down Stanford in Palo Alto two weeks ago scoring 40 points with Tyler Huntley leading the way. Look for Utah to get another big game from Huntley to get the win.
