NFL VP Says The NFL Might Remove Punt And Kick Returns From The Game

Well, this would just stink if it happened. Most of the time, kickoffs are boring. They really suck when the NFL takes advantage and goes touchdown, commercial, extra point, commercial, kick off, commercial. But when the kickoff is good, it’s really good.

Think about the Saints Super Bowl win without the onside kick. Think about the Chicago Bears without Devin Hester. Think about no Dante Hall. Think about no Deion Sanders high stepping in a close game. Think about no Desean Jackson pointing to the sideline and then to the end zone.

Getting rid of kickoffs would suck. Player safety is important but damn man. Some of the violence really is just part of the game.
