Police are Called in to Investigate a Cardboard Cutout of the My Pillow Guy

Source - Police officers in Jordan, Minnesota were called to check on the welfare of a man standing motionless outside in the cold, wearing no coat and hugging a pillow. When officers arrived, they found the “man” was actually a cardboard cutout of MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell.

“Those cardboard cutouts sure can look real from a distance and the caller certainly was not wanting to get too close thinking who is this deranged person standing outside in the cold hugging a pillow,” the Jordan Police Department shared in a Facebook post. “Always better to call the police.”

That is some good advice from the Jordan, MN Police Department. A top-notch safety tip for all of us to follow. If you see anything unusual, like a flat, motionless shape of an easily recognizable product pitchman, you can never be too careful. Sure, it could be a harmless cardboard cutout. But it also could be a deranged lunatic just posing as a harmless cardboard cutout as a brilliant disguise to lure in his next victim. So rather than take a closer look and risk waking up in a well in a basement while a fake, pillow mogul lookalike tells you to keep putting lotion on or you’ll get the hose again, you’re better off just calling 911 at the first sign of danger.

And for the record, this goes to any product pitchman stand out signs. If you see a clown outside a burger place. A guy with a massively wide face outside a hardware store holding up a can of Flex Seal. A bearded dead man with a box of OxyClean. A wacky waving inflatable arm flailing tube man. Whatever it is, don’t think. Don’t use your judgment. Do not. take any chances. Call the cops and let them deal with it. If they save but one life from Mike Lindell lookalike murders, it’ll have been worth it.
