LeBron Has Already Started Begging People To Join His Shitty Basketball Team
With Magic now out of the picture the Lakers need someone to step up to the tampering plate, and it seems like LeBron is more than willing to accept that challenge. Last night Brian Windhorst went on PTI and pretty much said that’s exactly what’s going on
From what I understand, he has already begun the recruiting process. I’ve heard he has had contact with Kawhi Leonard. I’ve heard he has had contact with Jimmy Butler. There is no tampering enforcement by players. … The thing about it is, I don’t know if texts and calls and maybe a dinner with LeBron is enough for the Lakers to overcome the hurdles that they’re going to have.
Normally I tend to tune most things out when it comes from Windhorst, but when it’s about LeBron you can consider it fact. I’m sure he told Windy straight up that he’s already talked to both Butler and Kawhi, remember there was speculation back at the beginning of the month that LeBron already had his sights set on Kawhi
That was from Stephen A on ESPN radio. Well after Windhorst pretty much confirmed it I think we can assume that LeBron is fully invested in tampering his dick off. He knows his team stinks, he knows he’s not getting any younger and the Lakers need to add blue chip talent ASAP so while technically it’s illegal for LeBron to be doing this shit with players under contract, he also knows the NBA won’t do a damn thing. It’s one thing if Magic does it, it’s another if it comes from a current player. Honestly it’s sad that the “best player in the world” has to get down on his knees and beg these top free agents to come join him, but I guess that’s what happens when you’re the worst teammate of all time.
I’ve come to enjoy the delusion that the Lakers seem to be experiencing when it comes to free agency and the future of their team. They are nothing but a complete disaster that starts all the way at the top with their owner, and there are reports that a huge reason why they brought Jason Kidd on board is to eventually have a shot at landing Giannis.
As a reminder, Giannis is now eligible for a $250M extension next summer which would be the largest contract in NBA history.
He’s going to pass that p and take a massive paycut so he can play with an old LeBron James in LA all because Jason Kidd is on the staff? That sounds so ridiculous I have no choice but to believe the Lakers really had that thought process. Not only that but he’s already publicly stated how much he hates Hollywood and all the drama. We also already have a million reports that have said if Kawhi does go to LA it’ll be to the actual good team in that city, and sure maybe Jimmy Butler is more attainable since he has already started posting cryptic Instagram captions
so maybe as a Sixers fan I would be a little nervous.
At the end of the day I feel like if LeBron can’t even convince anyone to be in his stupid movie
he’s not going to get anyone of substance to actually commit to playing on the same basketball team as him. Good news though, since everyone is turning LeBron down they’ll have plenty of money available to max someone like Nikola Vucevic and Bojan Bogdanovic. Lakers baby, Lakers!
