So my guy John Mayer announced yesterday he was going to be dropping a new song called New Light. There were rumors that he actually debuted the song last week while doing a show with Dave Chappelle but cell phones weren’t allowed so nobody had heard it. Well it’s finally here. Upon the first 10 listens, very very very enjoyable song. Funky. Groovy. Light. A good way to kick off the start of summer.

PS- Weird move by John to release the song at 10am PST. What? Put it out at midnight. Just do it. I’m sure there’s a streaming reason for putting it out then but come on. You have the song. We want the song. Give it to us. Don’t make us wait until 1pm east coast time.
