Omar Little Whistling His Way Out To Do The Nets Intros Is As Awesome As It Sounds

LOVE IT.  That was the greatest twenty seconds of 2014 and I don’t think it’ll be topped.  If you think it’s weird that the Iowa guy is doing a blog about the Brooklyn Nets I don’t care.  This isn’t even about the Nets.  It’s about Omar Little.  It’s about The Wire being the best show ever made (no really, it is).  It’s about me almost shitting my pants with excitement when I saw this clip of Michael K. Williams striding onto the court whistling Farmer In The Dell on his way to do the Nets intros.  I wanted to high five everybody around me (I’m alone, sad face).  You might not know this but I’m the biggest Wire fan on the planet.  It’s the closest thing I have to a religion.  I love that show more than I love some of my relatives.  If you’ve never seen The Wire, quit your job ASAP and start binge watching it.  I’m serious.  It’ll be worth it.  You’ll learn more in those 5 majestic season than you’ll learn anywhere else.
