Zero Blog Thirty: Interview With Rob O'Neill, SEAL Who Shot Bin Laden

Today marks the 7th anniversary of Bin Laden’s death and it’s definitely one of those, “I remember exactly where I was,” moments.

In an earlier article, Smitty talked about the iconic reaction at the Phillies vs. Mets game when the news broke. People in cities around the country and world poured into the streets. (Not to sound too tough, but I was away for military training in Missouri, alone in my hotel room when I found out, and I cried like a baby.)

In 2016, Zero Blog Thirty was brand new & had a special guest for the 4th episode. Chaps interviewed Robert J. O’Neill, one of the men responsible for those celebrations and reactions shown above. He killed Osama Bin Laden in the raid with SEAL Team Six and has gone on to write books, dip into controversies, get into spots of trouble from time to time, and travel the world. He’s also been known to hang at the Barstool Offices. NBD.

Hear O’Neill’s story recalling the night of the 2011 raid here. It’s a good ‘un:

We’ll be having him on again to catch up in the near future, so stay tuned.
