Bradley Beal's Trainer Tried Playing Defense On Him During Yesterday’s Practice And Ended Up Getting His Ankles Broken

Listen, as a suburban white kid I grew up watching a lot of And 1 Mix Tape Tour. So I’ve seen my fair share of crossovers ranging from rude to flat out disrespectful. Bradley’s crossover on his trainer was a case of the latter. There is nothing more disrespectful on a basketball court than stopping the game after making someone fall over and then offering them the ball as a commemorative gift. The second he started doubling up on his between the legs I had flashbacks to the Hot Sauce/Tallee  match up during the Hawks halftime show.

The only thing that would’ve made it better is if he danced in his face.

I’ve always wondered what it would be like to play defense on an NBA player and now I know: embarrassing. Although, I like to think I’m coordinated enough not to fall down in the process. That and I’ve been embarrassed so many times that I know when to cut my losses. Last week I got dunked so hard that I left the gym mid game. There was no need for me to keep playing. The statement had been made. I was going to be dominated the rest of the night and not in the good way, so I just left. Which is exactly what this coach should do. Especially considering he had to physically be lifted up off of the ground by the other coaches.

It’d be nice to see Beal save some of this intensity for game five. I’d love to see the Wizards upset Toronto. At any rate, thoughts and prayers to the coach and his family. The physical wounds may heal, but it’s going to take a while to fully recover from the mental trauma.
