Mets Activate Michael Conforto From The DL And Immediately Plug Him Into The Leadoff Spot Of Today’s Lineup Vs. The Nats

He is risen!!! The good juju of the 2018 Mets continues! Any other season, Michael Conforto would be back by his May target absolute earliest, with a good chance he wouldn’t debut before the All-Star Break. But with Dr. DL banished and the Mets cranking imaginary dicks after base knocks, the mojo gods smiled upon us and brought back our beloved Scooter a week after Opening Day and right before kicking off our first series of the season against the Nats. Maybe the Baseball Gods don’t hate us after all! Okay, it’s probably too early to make idiotic statements like that. I will still hold my breath every time Michael Conforto swings a bat for the rest of the season just because I’ve been burned way too many times. But it’s definitely time to get excited about our 4-1 team taking the field with our young stud returning as the lead off hitter and the unstoppable force known as Day deGrom taking the bump. And not only that, but Conforto wanted Strasburg and the Nats.

“He’s ready to go,” manager Mickey Callaway said. “He wanted Strasburg.”

“Who wouldn’t want to get in against the Nationals?” Conforto added.
