This PeeWee Hockey Starting Lineup Roll Call Is How Championships Are Made
I don’t even need to see the box score from this game because I already know the final must have been at least 375 – 0. I don’t care if you put this team up against the Soviet Red Army team. Whoever they’re out there against, it is going to be pure domination. The fact that it was most likely against some other random peewee team actually makes me a little concerned though. I haven’t been keeping up with the headlines as much as I’d like to so I’m assuming that I missed the one about a team full of kids getting actual murdered on the ice.
Now here’s the problem with this video. I’m almost positive that somebody (read: somebody’s mom) is going to rat out this coach and get him fired. Somebody (read: somebody’s mom) isn’t necessarily going to love the language that was being thrown around in that locker room. Somebody (read: somebody’s mom) is going to think the message or the tone here is too violent for her precious little Tommy. So she’ll throw a fit, threaten to leave the club and then the club will cower and fire the coach. I’ve seen it happen a million times before and each time is worse than the last.
But here’s something that I can guarantee you. All the kids in that locker room? Well they’ve never had more fun playing on any other team before than they are with this coach. I can guarantee you that if you ask every kid in that locker room who their favorite coach ever is, their answer would be that guy. He gets the kids fired up. He treats them like they’re adults. He let’s them have fun. Doesn’t take it too seriously. That’s what it’s all about. So what if there were a few F-bombs thrown around in there? You really think your kid is going to go the rest of his life without ever hearing that word? Get fucking real. Take a look at this locker room.
And tell me that’s not a group of kids having the best time that they’ll probably ever have playing puck with the boys. Need more coaches like this beauty. Like Gordon Bombay on steroids.
