Georgia Fired Mark Fox Today and Apparently Rick Pitino Is A Possible Option
This. Is. March. Or something like that? I don’t know. This would be absolutely insane, that’s all I know. Georgia let Mark Fox go earlier today, which wasn’t a huge surprise. There were rumors of this happening and then with Ashton Hagans decommitting a few weeks ago it seemed almost inevitable.
But, Rick Pitino? Yeah, that would be something. The names that were originally thrown out that made sense were the likes of Tom Crean, Jeff Capel, Wes Miller and Steve Forbes. Those I all understand. Those are all guys that will have their names thrown into most jobs. But, Pitino, woo boy that would be a story.
Now, this is just a report obviously and we’ll see what all comes out of this, but this would be shocking to say the least. Pitino is likely going to face some sort of show-clause or suspension I’d assume with everything going on at Louisville. The reason why Pitino makes sense here? Well, he’s a top-5 all time coach when it comes to just coaching and we’ve seen the SEC have an influx of big time coaches. Either way, let’s see what the hell happens here.
