Miami Beach Club Shut Down After A Dancer Rode A Horse Onto The Dance Floor
BFNEWS – A Miami Beach nightclub has been shut down after videos of woman riding a spooked horse on the dance floor sparked widespread allegations of animal cruelty.
Videos of the incident, which occurred at Mokai Lounge in Miami Beach between late Wednesday night and early Thursday morning, show the horse panicking and bucking off a woman in a bikini as hordes of club-goers scream and cheer.
On Friday, City Manager Jimmy L. Morales issued an order for the club’s business license to be revoked.
Mayor of Miami Beach Dan Gelber said the incident “could only be described as insane stupidity and irresponsibility” and expressed his support for the club’s closing at a Friday press conference.
On Friday night, Miami Beach Police said the horse had been located and was deemed to be “healthy and safe.”
This is why clubs are the absolute best. The lines. The bouncers. The crowds. The very reasonable prices. The people packed in so tightly that you kind of forget you’re even an individual person and not just one big amorphous blob of sweat and cologne. The music so loud that it rattles your brain around inside of your skull. The fair, equal treatment you receive no matter how much money you have or what you look like. Yet despite all of those obvious draws, they STILL never stop trying to pull out all the stops. To make it even better, even when that seems impossible. I mean when you’re in a party capital like Miami Beach you gotta differentiate yourself somehow right? That’s how this idea came to be.
What if…we had a massive crowd…and…we rode a horse into the middle of it? Maybe if we get lucky it will get spooked and kick some patrons in the face with its hooves and then dump a metric ton of manure onto the dance floor? And the horse will love it! What a fun change of pace for an animal used to roaming free in the countryside to be jammed into a small dark confined space as Tiesto beats blow out its eardrums!
Unfortunately people don’t share the same love of clubs as you and I. Unfortunately some people care more about things like animal cruelty, being a decent human being, the safety of animals and people, so on and so forth.
