A Woman Stole A Boxer's Bag With $150,000 in Cash And Jewelry From Jay Z's 40/40 Club
NY Post - Not one but five knockouts cost a pro fighter his purse — stuffed with $145,000 in cash and jewelry — at a Flatiron nightclub, police said Sunday.
Professional pugilist Jermall Charlo, 27, was partying with his assistant and the femmes fatale at Jay-Z’s 40/40 club in Manhattan early Sunday morning when he got into a “physical altercation” with someone around 3 a.m., according to police sources.
The assistant handed one of the women the bag — containing $40,000 in cash and $115,000 worth of bling — to hold during the unsanctioned sparring match, sources said.
But when the tiff ended and the Texan light middleweight returned to his seat — he learned the woman had absconded with his pricey pack along with her four pals, according to cops.

Pretty crazy story. Boxer Jermall Charlo was supposed to fight at Barclay’s on Saturday, but his fight was scratched. He found himself at the 40/40 Club afterwards, probably because he was trying to catch a glimpse of Barstool Sports HQ which is right around the corner and 40/40 was his next best option. But he made such a rookie mistake. You see, usually I only bring high 5-figs out on the town with me- $75,000, maybe up to $90,000 if I’m feeling naughty that day. Jermall brought $155,000 worth- big mistake. Why does someone need to low 6-figs instead of high 5-figs? Hah, perfectly normal question to ask.
Well, you know how this story ends. A scuffle broke out at 3am, and all of Jermall’s jewelry (scroll to the bottom to see DJ Khaled try and say “jewelry”) and cash was scooped up by a tall bodacious woman who walked right out the door with the goods.
Cops describe the main bag snatch suspect as a white woman with straight blonde hair, who is around 5-foot-10 tall and weighs in at 165 pounds. She was last seen wearing a dress, a jacket and carrying a blue bag.

From one professional athlete who often carries large amounts of diamonds in my backpack to another, you hate to see this happen. Best of luck to my friend Jarmall getting his money back.
