The scene- the $10,000 Aussie Millions Main Event. Like the $10k WSOP main event, it’s one of the more prestigious poker tournaments of the year. The time is Day 3, with 56 players remaining. They are in the money, all guaranteed to take home 25,000 AUD. The goal is first place though, and busting now would be devastating.

You have 98, and the perfect turn card comes. You have the straight. You bet, and your opponent raises…what do you do? Did he turn 2 pair? If so you’re the happiest person in the world. Maybe turned a set of 10s…again, you’re pretty happy. Or maybe he has pocket kings, that would be amazing. Only two hands can possibly beat you- K9, and AK. Two possible hands after turning the best card possible for your hand…can you fold?

I know I couldn’t. What an awesome fold, and even better that it’s on camera. When you make a bad fold on camera it haunts you, but when you make the perfect fold on camera you kinda feel like you won the hand. Probably the happiest he’s been to ever lose a hand deep in a $10k, that’s for sure. Great, great fold.
