2018 Barstool Bracketology: Version 2

It’s about that time where people start looking at bracketology and try to figure out where their team will be slotted. This is especially true with the release of the top-16 show on February 11 so we’ll at least have an idea where teams are slotted at that time. For the time being, I’m going to continue to put out my bracketology and try to take a guess at what we’ll see as we approach March.

Here’s version 2:

There were a couple of tough things with this. First, just how much do you value certain losses and take into account who was injured as the committee will do. How much do you penalize Oklahoma for losing some road games? I, personally don’t like to penalize road losses that much, especially this year. Then there’s always a massive pain in the ass just because of all the little rules i.e. first 3 conference selections have to go in different regions, no rematches in the 1st round and then trying to figure out who is going to win the smaller conferences. I’m the first to admit, there’s probably a mistake in here somewhere. That’s just the Barstool difference.

As you can see the Big 12 is going to be rewarded for being absolutely loaded this year and the AAC is currently getting four teams in. I also think you see multiple bids from C-USA and MWC making up for the lack of bids from the A-10 and Big 10.

I know there will be some debate, but it was tough to figure out what to do with teams like Kentucky, Arizona, Arizona State, Oklahoma and most of the Big 12. So I’m sure people will be upset, just remember I hate your team and always cheer for your rival. So what do you agree/disagree with? Let me know @barstoolreags.
