BREAKING NEWS: Multiple Sources Can Now Confirm That Matt Ryan Is Actually From The Greater Philadelphia Area

NFL: JAN 06 NFC Wild Card - Falcons at Rams

The Atlanta Falcons went into Los Angeles on Saturday night and knocked the Rams out of the playoffs with a 26-13 win. After that win, Matt Ryan and the Falcons will now travel to Philadelphia to play the Eagles in the Divisional Round. With this in mind, I figured I’d let you all in on a little ***BARSTOOL SPORTS EXCLUSIVE***.

Matt Ryan, quarterback of the Atlanta Falcons, is actually from the greater Philadelphia area. Yup. You read that correctly. Crazy, right? I mean here’s a guy who will be trying to knock Philadelphia out of the playoffs yet he, himself, grew up in the area. And now you guys know about it. You can tell people at your office. You can tell people at happy hour. You can go to the grocery store and tell everybody you see in the produce section. Matt Ryan is from Exton, Pennsylvania and now he’s facing the Eagles in the playoffs. What a world we live in.

Now do you guys want another little nugget of information? I feel like I should probably charge for this one. I can’t keep giving away these stories for free. But I care about you guys so here it goes…

Matt Ryan actually went to high school at Penn Charter in Philadelphia where he was a 3-year starter for the Quakers football team. So when you tell everybody that Matt Ryan is from Philadelphia, they’re going to question you. They’re going to say “no way is that possible. Not a chance is the quarterback of the team playing against the Eagles in the playoffs actually from Philadelphia himself”. Now you can dunk on them with this knowledge that Matt Ryan went to Penn Charter and they’ll have no other choice but to believe you’re some sort of super genius.

For those of you who are unfamiliar, Penn Charter plays in the Philadelphia private school “Inter-Ac” league. So Matt Ryan is a little private school bitch. If he went to public school and had any kind of grit to him, then maybe I’d be worried about this game coming up on Saturday. But he’s from the Inter-Ac. That league is softer than baby shit. You think some kid from the Inter-Ac is going to come into Philly in less-than-ideal weather and come out of here with a win? Heck no. Philly Tough doesn’t apply to private school kids. Might as well be from Connecticut or some shit at that point.
